Running out of food, short-staffed, closing early. It happens. What hurts is staying open online while closed in real life: customers keep ordering, the orders get cancelled, customers are let down, and every cancellation drags down your restaurant's rating and repeat business.
Three ways to stop orders, from fastest to most permanent:
1. Text us at 518-255-7617. One message ("we're closing at 3 today") and we'll turn off ordering immediately and turn it back on when you say.
2. Block ordering yourself in MyMealeo: go to Account, then Order Times, to block orders for the rest of the day or pause ordering temporarily.
3. Change your hours in MyMealeo (Account, then Hours) if your real hours have changed for good. See the hours article for keeping your website and Google listing in sync too.
If you take pre-orders: remember that customers may have already ordered for later today. Check for scheduled orders before you close, or call us and we'll handle reaching those customers.
Thirty seconds of turning ordering off saves hours of cancelled-order cleanup, and keeps your rating where it belongs.
